“No More 24” Toolkit

On March 20th, home attendants will go on hunger strike in front of City Hall to demand an end to brutal 24-hour workdays! We are calling on the whole city to join us in pressuring council Speaker Adrienne Adams to put the “No More 24” Act to a vote. Please use this toolkit in whatever way you want to spread the word!

Basic info, time, location

  • Hunger strike will start 12PM Wednesday, March 20, at NYC City Hall (Broadway and Murray St). We will be there all day and night, for many days. We are calling on Speaker Adrienne Adams to put “No More 24” Act to a vote to end the violence of the 24-hour workday.

How can you support?

How can your group support? 

  • Host your own info session or film screening to spread the word to your members
  • Sign up for a day for your group to come to the strike, share your ideas for program
  • Let council members know that your group wants them to help end the 24 hour workday 
  • Organize a flyering session (see materials and shared calendar below!)
  • Share with your listservs
  • Reach out to groups to endorse the call to end 24!
